Partying in Vegas ‘film research’

Aldous (Russell Brand) and Aaron (Jonah Hill) are featured in the new film “Get Him to the Greek.”

There’s a new Vegas movie in theaters today. In “Get Him to the Greek,” Jonah Hill portrays a music company lackey, escorting a rock star (Russell Brand) from London to Vegas to L.A.

While filming at Planet Hollywood, Hill played blackjack in between takes.

But before filming began, he partied with co-star Sean “Diddy” Combs for “research.”

“I started the weekend with three nights in Vegas with Diddy — partying — so that’ll get you a little tired,” he said, still looking pretty beat, I have to say.

“It was full throttle.”

I asked Hill for a minute-by-minute account. He declined, noting correctly it would take him 72 hours.

Hill talks at length with film critic Carol Cling in today’s Neon section.

(Speaking of movies, the Las Vegas International Film Festival is today-Sunday in the Hilton and Shimmer theaters at the Las Vegas Hilton, with parties at the Artisan and Simon at Palms Place. Check LVFilmFest.com.)
