About Chef Edgar Montes de Oca

Chef Edgar Montes de Oca, originally from Ecuador moved to the United States 33 years ago. Edgar graduated from St. Augustine in Chicago, Illinois with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Culinary Arts.

Chef Edgar moved to Las Vegas in 1999. He worked in fine restaurants like Commanders Palace and Mon Ami Gabi while acquiring more experience and waiting for the right moment and opportunity to open his own restaurant.

In 2009, he opened his first restaurant called Barcelona Tapas Bar and Restaurant located in Southern Highlands.
